After a highly successful career spanning both technology and financial services the client, a US national who reached the Board of a major FTSE 100, wanted to concentrate on gaining NED appointments on both sides of the Atlantic.

With a varied career this individual was at a cross-roads, looking for new directions but unsure of the way. Whilst his life had encompassed industries ranging from the most conservative of investment banks via sorting and the regulatory environment he was unsure which challenge would provide the right level of professional fulfilment.

A thorough evaluation and determination of his skills and abilities resulted in the determination of a strategic move to a portfolio career, and a series of introductions generated through AGM’s network crystallised opportunities within the time frame. Three part-time positions in varying industries were secured for the client.
Case Study 3:
Background:
Progressing through a series of developmental roles in his chosen industry this person was posted back to the UK by his company. Due to family circumstances he had to leave his company, and was unsure about what to do and what his options might be.
Response & Result
A thorough evaluation of his potencies and career tools resulted in two competing offers, one of which featured highly in the development of his targeting process by AGM. Assistance was particularly useful in the negotiation phase. He accepted an offer substantially in advance of his original package for a role with high acceleration prospects.

An extremely intelligent high achiever had left a blue chip financial services employer as she wished to do something completely different.

A long-term career strategy, based upon her own skills, capabilities, needs and development was determined, and through AGM’s extensive network of contacts she received 3 offers, varying from two investment banks and a high-level strategy house. She accepted an offer from a big-name bank to create a new role and which fully met the exacting criteria generated through the AGM process. Situation
A very bright and entrepreneurial client had enjoyed a career spanning international roles, from major Corporates to start ups. Requiring a new position due to factors relating to an economic downturn in his previous sector, he ideally wanted an autonomous and creative role, but was unsure how to generate the suitable opportunities.
Response & Result
A thorough evaluation of his skills and experience led him into a determination of two potential avenues- both general management for a multi-cultural service organisation and a longer-term move into the Private Equity environment. He was then promoted into the target markets and recruiters started to position him for various opportunities based upon the clarity and focus created. He has now started in a role as a deal-maker for a Private Equity house, having implemented the tools he acquired through AGM’s analysis and effectiveness system.
Case Study 6:
Situation
This candidate, a US-national based in the UK but working primarily overseas, had been hugely successful in building and creating new business for his employers, but had left the company as it was acquired by a larger organisation.
Response & Result
A re-focusing of skills and what he could contribute resulted in a successful positioning as a value creator in a specific industry function with an international client base, and he was re-created and packaged to reflect these traits. He was then introduced by AGM to recruiters active in his field and various opportunities were generated. He has accepted a CEO client-facing role in private banking based outside the EU and building a European footprint for this large US-based Financial Services Organisaiton.

Background:
A highly successful International Chief Executive spanning automotive and technology services having headed up companies in Europe and South America wanted a similar role based in the UK. He contacted 219 recruitment companies without success.
Response & Result
Through AGM’s media and consulting services, his skill set and intellectual needs were defined and sharpened so that he was fully prepared to enter the recruitment market. On meeting with a recruiter who was looking for a CEO with the exact skills and background as this candidate had, he was offered a Chief Executive role in the space of three weeks from first interview.

Background
A globally experienced regional expert with government level contacts in the aviation industry wanted to make a move for personal reasons.
Response & Result
Based in Asia, it was only feasible for the client to meet face to face once in Paris for the preparation and thereafter by phone and email. The niche headhunter was contacted by AGM and the ideal role was identified. After some months of negotiation, the client happily accepted his new position, still in Asia, but with future potential to move.

A highly successful CEO running the European operation for a global US industrial company with a wealth of experience running and growing complex businesses. He was unsure of what he wanted to do but felt he needed a change and to see what opportunities were in the market place.

After an evaluation of his skills and defining his objectives, he was connected to the top individual headhunters in the UK. An assignment which suited his aspirations and personal requirements was found through a leading headhunter and after a number of meetings and interviews, he was selected as CEO of an international philanthropic organisation.
